Snapshot No. 675-679
679. Aloe flowers

The photo shows flowers of aloe at a corner of our flower bed.
This aloe is a decendendent of the ones repeated the pod and ground plantings for more than 40 years. They had never borne flowers.
678. Yuu-yake (evening glow)

The evening sky after the thunder clouds are gone.
Through the 2nd floor window.
It should be sunny tomorrow.
677. Flowers of yuri-no-ki

Strong wind for the last 2 days seem to fell some of the flowers of
yuri-no-ki (tulip trees) at the square in front of my place.
As the flowers bloom at very high branches, the opportunity to closely look at them is seldom. So I brought some of them back home.

A side shot.

Still April, but the so-called May-wind blows these days.
A mini
koi-nobori bought at a one-hundred-yen shop.
Ummm,
kawayui.

I agree 100 %.
"Anything - - -"#1:
From "The Pillow Book" by Sei Shounagon, a court lady 1000 years ago.
Wiki about her is < here >.
P.S.

It turned May now. A pair of
sijyu-kara is raising their chicks this year too.
I was afraid they mind the mini-
koinobori if it is placed close to their nest. But they completely ignore it.
It looks they recognize its difference from cats or humans, and thus judge no harm for them.
675. Winged seeds

At this time of year of lush green, the flowers of
momiji (maple) trees are gone, and become the seeds.
The photo shows the seeds with wings of the
iroha momiji at a nearby square.
The seeds are the ones swollen round at the bases of the red propeller-like wings.
In autumn, this winged seeds rotate and fly in the wind.
As this propeller is aerodynamically interesting, there are many researches on the movements.
There exist even a research report by students of a primary school,
< this > is the one given the Noyori Science Promotion Award.
